What is OPT?

In this video, we offer a brief overview of Optional Practical Training (OPT) and the two types of training that F-1 students may complete: Pre and Post-Completion OPT. We highly recommend looking through the OPT overview information on the website and the Pre and Post Completion information, which offers an in-depth understanding of both types of OPT. Review the website prior to seeking assistance from the office and please take advantage of our office hours for advising as needed.
