Housing & Residential Education employs over 300 students!

All positions are posted on the USF Careers website. Some have their own internal processes which are advertised within communities during recruitment phases. Most positions require an applicant to live on campus. All positions require applicants to maintain good academic standing.

 

Desk & Mail Clerks

Desk Clerks (DCs) provide first line response and desk reception services for the residence hall community and the Department of Housing & Residential Education. DCs also support the safety and security of our students by ensuring safe and accurate management of keys and card access. Mail Clerks (MCs) provide essential mail services to the residential community by sorting and delivering mail and logging and sorting packages. Through excellent customer service to visitors (i.e., student, parent, faculty/staff, USF non-affiliate, etc.), Desk Clerks and Mail Clerks (D/MCs) are essential to creating a positive residential experience for USF students.

Facilities Crew

Student Assistants

Student assistants hold various positions throughout our department. Some gain experience in the Business & Finance office learning best practices and supporting crucial business functions. Others may work with the Assignments team as front-line staff supporting future and current residents in the Central Housing Office. Some students also work in the Marketing & Communications area, maintaining our website, developing videos, creating graphics, and managing our social media channels. Apply by visiting USF Careers.
