My approach to therapy: As a compassionate therapist, I provide a warm and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. Together, we will work to unravel the root causes of your concerns, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. Whether you're dealing with personal, emotional, or behavioral issues, I am dedicated to empowering you to lead a more fulfilling life. My expertise lies in Couples Counseling, Anxiety, Depression, Identity Formation, and Grief. My greatest strengths as a provider include my empathic nature, active listening skills, and ability to create a productive working alliance. My treatment methods include a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-centered (Rogerian), Multicultural, and Family Therapy. I collaborate with you to examine and reframe negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress or less adaptive behaviors. I strive to create a non-directive and non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings and thoughts. This involves being open to learning about varied cultural perspectives, actively listening to your experiences, and integrating those factors into the therapeutic process. I also pay attention to dynamics within a family system and how these dynamics may potentially contribute to your individual and relational difficulties.

My approach to supervision: I use a developmental approach to supervision, specifically the Loganbill, Hardy & Delworth Model which addresses four elements of the supervisory situation: supervisor, supervisee, their relationship, and the environment or context in which the supervision is occurring. We discuss developmental issues such as, competence, emotional awareness, autonomy, theoretical identity, respect for individual differences, purpose and direction, personal motivation, and professional ethics as the supervisee cycles through three different stages: Stagnation, Confusion, and finally, Integration.
