ExCeL with experience!

ExCeL, USF’s current QEP, is focused on Experiential Centered Learning with the mission of increasing the career readiness of undergraduates by expanding their skills and experience through meaningful experiences that will contribute to their career and educational success.

The QEP’s experiential centered learning opportunities will guide students to:

In combination with career readiness content incorporated into academic programs, the goal is to prepare students so they will benefit from higher rates of employment and/or admission into graduate and professional school and higher career starting salaries.


High Impact Practices Applied

Student employment, internships, and co-ops are known high impact practices proven to lead to higher rates of employment for graduates and, in the case of internships and co-ops, also higher career starting salaries. For students considering graduate and professional school, undergraduate research experiences have proven to lead to higher rates of admission. USF students can ExCeL with Experience!


Student Learning Outcomes

As a result of the implementation of the current ExCeL QEP, USF’s student participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and evaluate experiential centered learning opportunities that align with their unique career goals.

  2. Demonstrate career readiness competencies acquired through courses and experiences.

  3. Communicate effectively the career readiness competencies, skills, and experiences developed in specific courses.

  4. Communicate effectively the career readiness competencies, skills, and experiences developed through experiential centered learning opportunities.
