About Us
Mission Statement
The Office of National Scholars (ONS) fosters scholarly development by guiding USF
students and alumni seeking opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. This
includes prestigious award and scholarship programs for research, international education,
graduate study, and professional development.
Our goal is to support students while they envision their future goals, engage with opportunities, and excel as they move forward in their lives.
ONS takes pride in mentoring students to create the most impactful and competitive applications for nationally prestigious awards. We maintain a schedule of workshops and internal deadlines for applications. Each student will work with their advisor to understand the expectations of working with our office.
Inclusion Statement
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Office of National Scholars (ONS) works to support all students, across our three campuses, in achieving their goals and aspirations. Opportunities are open to people regardless of their race, ethnicity, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, geographic location, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We hope to encourage students who are traditionally underrepresented in national scholarship and fellowship applicant pools to work with us and find opportunities that suit their needs.
Most of these opportunities were created to promote innovation, scholarship, active citizenship, and global cooperation. None of this can be done without voices from all communities. We strive to be trusted advisors, helping elevate our students’ voices from these various communities onto the national stage. If you have any questions about our office or advising process, please contact nationalscholarships@usf.edu.
