Urban Studies Minor
Creative Placemaking For An Urbanizing World
The Urban Studies minor provides an understanding of the economic, social, cultural, political, and spatial phenomena of urban areas, and how they came to be. It offers students the opportunity to supplement their education and training with a focus on the problems and potentials of the urban world around us.
This interdisciplinary minor is a great complement to any degree program. Students who are interested in pursuing a Master of Urban & Regional Planning (MURP) degree are strongly encouraged to consider this field of study.
CURRICULUM
The minor consists of 15 credit hours minimum, including 3 core courses and 2 electives. There are a broad range of electives available to choose from.
