Bio

Peng Chen is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Affairs at the University Â鶹ÊÓƵ. He has interdisciplinary backgrounds in urban planning, transportation engineering, human geography, and statistics. His research relies heavily on quantitative analysis, especially spatial regression and time-series analysis. He has published articles in top transportation planning journals, such as Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Journal of Transport Geography, Journal of Transport and Land Use, and Urban Studies.

Dr. Chen has also served the academic community by acting as a reviewer for journals. He was recognized as an outstanding reviewer for several Elsevier journals in 2018, including Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Accident Analysis and Prevention, and Computer, Environment, and Urban Systems. He was awarded best paper for Session F Transportation and Land Use at the 14th World Conference on Transport Research. His current research is funded by the National Institute for Congestion Research (NICR), the Center for Transportation, Environment, and Community Health (CTECH), and the U.S. Department of Education.
