Dean's Student Leadership Society (DSLS)
Information about DSLS
Being a member of the Dean’s Student Leadership Society is the perfect opportunity for students in the College of Arts & Sciences to grow as students, leaders, and university ambassadors. DSLS was established in August of 2013 by Dean Eric Eisenberg and Michele Dye, a former Communications and Marketing Director of CAS. The purpose of this highly selective group of CAS students is to promote pride in a liberal arts education and to assist in strengthening the identity of both the College of Arts & Sciences and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ. DSLS members are responsible for serving as ambassadors between CAS students, administration, donors, and alumni.
DSLS members will be able build a community amongst each other and within CAS through student-led programs, professional development workshops, community outreach, and plenty of networking opportunities. DSLS members will also serve as mentors to incoming freshmen to further impact the future of CAS. The Dean’s Student Leadership Society represents the College of Arts & Sciences at various events, including scholarship banquets, alumni and donor receptions, CAS lecture series, USF Family Weekend, and Homecoming. DSLS is always open to innovative members who are interested in making an impact in the USF community and representing the College of Arts & Sciences with pride.
