Writing Studio
Welcome
**The USF Writing Studio Has temporarily relocated to the Digital Media commons (DMC). We look forward to seeing you in the dmc, on the first floor of the tampa campus library.**
writing Consultations
The Studio offers free in-person and remote writing assistance with experienced writing consultants to all currently enrolled USF undergraduate and graduate students.
During your session, you will have 45 minutes to talk with a writing consultant, who will ask you questions about your writing goals and concerns. Please keep in mind that consultations are interactive and collaborative, so come prepared to work actively on your writing. Note that, for online appointments, Teams allows for file sharing, screen sharing, audio/visual sharing, and chat features.
We look forward to working with you!
What to bring to your appointment
Your consultant will walk you through all steps in the appointment process, but it always helps to arrive prepared! We recommend that you have the following ready to share prior to joining your online appointment or attending your in-person session:
- the draft you're working on;
- assignment guidelines or instructions from your professor;
- 2-3 questions you would like to discuss with your consultant.
Also, if your appointment is in-person, you will need to bring your laptop and/or two printed copies of your paper in order to review it with your consultant. There are printers available on the first floor of the USF Library.
