Thousands of USF students move on campus as residence halls fill to capacity
Residence halls at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ are expected to be at full capacity for the fall semester. Approximately 7,400 students are expected to live on campus - nearly 6,500 in Tampa and more than 900 in St. Petersburg.

The Rapid Experimentation Lab, managed by the USF Institute of Applied Engineering, puts engineers with different areas of expertise in the same room, dramatically reducing the amount of time it typically takes to build a prototype. It’s part of a five-year, $85 million contract with U.S. Special Operations Command, headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base.
