The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Board of Trustees today voted to move forward with the design phase of a new on-campus stadium that is scheduled to open in fall 2026.
The board’s decision authorized up to $22 million for the design of a stadium. The funds will come from non-state sources, such as private philanthropy and investment earnings.
The board approval represents another significant milestone in the process of building a new stadium and will kick off a design phase that should continue for approximately one year.
In the coming months, students, faculty, staff, alumni and other USF supporters will have opportunities to engage with university leaders and provide input on the stadium design.  At the conclusion of this phase, USF leadership will come back to the Board of Trustees with a detailed plan for a stadium, including more information about the scope, features, cost and financial strategy.
As previously announced in September 2022, USF will work with the design/build team of Barton Malow and Populous for the project.  Barton Malow/Populous brings world-class qualifications and a highly successful track record with collegiate and professional athletics projects. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
