Dear USF community,
I am pleased to share that today, the USF Board of Trustees unanimously approved the appointment of Rhea Law as USF’s interim president, effective today. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Board of Governors at its next meeting on Aug. 31-Sept.1.
As I shared with you last week, Interim President Law has an impressive background and is uniquely qualified to help lead USF during this transition. A devoted USF supporter, alumna, former Board of Trustees chair and highly respected community leader, her deep ties within our community and her stellar leadership abilities will enable us to continue our momentum. She will immediately begin reaching out to members of the USF community to introduce herself, and to listen and learn from you. Your voices are critically important throughout this process.
In the coming weeks, the Board of Trustees will meet again to discuss next steps in the national search for the permanent position. We’ll keep our community updated as we move forward.
