Statement from USF System President Judy Genshaft on Parkland Tragedy and USF System Support Services

Our university has a very close relationship with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and Wednesday’s horrific tragedy has left us heartbroken. We offer our deepest sympathies to the victims and their families and the entire Broward County community, and our thanks to the heroes whose actions prevented further loss of life and injuries. Many graduates of that high school attend USF, and we will provide them and others with the resources and support needed at this most difficult time.

A message about USF System support services from Provost Ralph Wilcox

Dear students, faculty and staff:

I am reaching out to extend the condolences of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ System to the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy, their families and the entire Broward community.  The USF System has a very close relationship with this high school – our university has 96 graduates from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High enrolled for the Spring 2018 semester.  The USF Tampa Dean of Students and student leadership from USF St. Petersburg and USF Sarasota-Manatee will be reaching out to each of these individuals directly to ensure they receive any needed support and assistance.

In an effort to ensure that all of the USF System community receives the services they may need during this difficult time, we are providing the following links and information for faculty, staff and students.
