In early 2021, the Council on Faculty Issues (CFI) discussed the need for new ways to communicate Faculty Senate news to the general faculty. We created a proposal for a news blog with an accompanying newsletter and then presented the proposal to the Faculty Senate Executive Council (FSEC) and the Faculty Senate (FS). It was met with resounding approval!
Working with Faculty Affairs Communications Manager Tara Centeno, University Communications & Marketing, and IT, we developed an implementation plan with a go-live date of September 21. Welcome to the result of our efforts!
The blog will be managed by a CFI team and Ms. Centeno. Our first 鈥渋ssue鈥� includes introductory posts about the FS and FSEC.
