College of Education Dean R. Anthony Rolle, PhD, was elected to the executive committee of the .

CADREI is a nonprofit organization that brings together deans of education from research and land grant institutions throughout North America. The Council’s purpose is the preparation of education personnel in all its phases and the discussion and formulation of plans, policies and programs to make the member institutions more effective in their work.

As a member of the CADREI Executive Committee, Rolle will help plan the Council’s annual meetings, review new membership applications and ensure that organization membership is valuable for participating institutions. His appointment to the committee begins this month.

"I am proud to be selected for this opportunity by my colleagues and peers at fellow higher education institutions,” Rolle said. “To represent such a quality group of nationally and internationally accomplished scholars and administrators is quite an honor. I am eager to learn the lessons shared by CADREI leadership and its members and to share this knowledge with the faculty and staff in the USF College of Education.”

With more than two decades of professional service to the field of education, Rolle has established a long-standing commitment to supporting student access for success, faculty excellence, research and community collaboration. He is a nationally recognized scholar with expertise in K-12 finance and policy research and has developed models to measure effectiveness and efficiency in public school systems, managed national and internationally recognized research projects for government and nonprofit organizations, increased endowed student scholarships, enhanced community partnerships and supported faculty excellence in research and teaching on an international scale.

As Dean of the USF College of Education, Rolle is responsible for leading the college’s 2,200 students and 130 faculty members who are spread across USF’s three campuses. Rolle became Dean of USF’s College of Education this summer after serving as dean of the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Rhode Island for four years. Before his tenure at the University of Rhode Island, Rolle served as a faculty member and department chair at the University of Houston. From 2010 to 2014, Rolle was a USF faculty member and chair of the former department of educational leadership and policy studies.
