PhD candidate Stephanie Rosado, MSW, CWHC recently represented the School of Social Work as she received a Global Faculty Award at the Inaugural High Impact Practice and Undergraduate Research (HIPUR) Faculty Awards Ceremony. She was recognized for the contributions made to global education through the school’s two recently introduced general education courses: Happiness and Wellbeing and Meaning in Life. Both are high-impact practice courses and are certified as Global Citizens Project courses. In both classes, students are invited to balance 1) personal beliefs they have already acquired about positive experiences, traits, and institutions and 2) their willingness to be open, explore, and experiment with new ideas and experiences.
