Audiology students honored at white coat ceremony

USF Audiology Class of 2026

USF Audiology Class of 2026 gather for a picture with their white coats.

Second-year audiology students were recently welcomed into the profession at the white coat ceremony. Amanda Cooley inspired students with her keynote speech, and Patricia Carr, who taught Cooley during her 26 years at USF, shared the history of the white coat in health professions.

During the ceremony, Holly Denette received the 1st-year Academic Performance Award, Daniel Chun received the 2nd-year Clinical Performance Award, and Sarah Grover received the 3rd-year Leadership Award. The Audiology Endowment Scholarship was awarded to Cruz Reyes, and the John M Tragon III Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Katie Jenkins.
