Micah E. Johnson, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy, and his colleagues won the Future of Pediatric Practice 2022 Resident Forum Poster Competition in the Original Research category of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The study was titled "Current opioid misuse among justice-involved children: The effect of adverse childhood experiences." Johnson worked with Ayodeji Otufowora, MD, PhD, MPH and Piyush Chaudhari, MPH on the study.
