Amy Corbin is an Instructor of Aging Studies at USF’s Tampa campus, having been with
the department since 2018. Amy holds master’s degrees in both Gerontology and Social
Work, utilizing her knowledge of aging issues within a therapeutic relationship as
a licensed clinical social worker. She has integrated her interests and knowledge
in both fields by helping to develop the recently established geriatric treatment
program at HCA West Tampa Hospital, where she also works PRN as a therapist. Amy has
vocational experience within adolescent group homes, the Department of Children and
Families, and inpatient/outpatient mental health settings. She prides herself on creating
an open, safe, and collaborative classroom environment.
