My favorite thing about teaching is being able to provide my students opportunities to explore various topics within the life-sciences sub-disciplines.
BIOGRAPHY
I earned my undergraduate degree in Chemistry-Life Science from the United States
Military Academy of West Point in 2004. I got my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from
Vanderbilt University in 2011. During my time at Vanderbilt, I discovered a passion
for teaching when I was a teacher assistant (TA) for a Biology lab, a job I had for
3 years. Since graduating, I have really enjoyed sharing my love of the life-sciences
with my own students. For the past 10 years I have taught a variety of courses to
include Biology, Genetics, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Nutrition to undergraduates
and graduate students in a variety of settings [online - asynchronous and synchronous,
and in person] and college types [community, 4-year public and private universities].
