BIO

Michael Loewy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University Â鶹ÊÓƵ.  His areas of research include dynamic macroeconomics, monetary economics, and growth theory.  He has published in the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Macroeconomics, the Journal of Economic Growth, Oxford Economics Papers, and Economic Inquiry, among others.  Professor Loewy’s teaching includes macroeconomic theory, international macroeconomics, monetary economics, and economic growth.  He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota and previously held positions at The George Washington University and the University of Houston.  Professor Loewy is a member of the American Economic Association and the Society for Economic Dynamics.

TEACHING Philosophy

While the following may not strictly be a "teaching philosophy," it nevertheless seems to sum up things rather nicely:
